All businesses need marketing professionals who can think creatively, analyze consumer trends, and make a brand stand out. With the increase of online and social media marketing, this generation of digital natives will be more in demand than ever, when equipped with the right skills.
Our specialized and rigorous courses prepare students to pursue careers in retail and sales management, marketing research, content creation, public relations, market analysis, advertising and promotion, product development, and industrial marketing. Marketing is one of the fastest-growing fields and most dynamic careers today. Not only do our students learn how to market companies’ products and series, but they also learn to market their own skills and knowledge in the workplace. Intimate class sizes and a variety of hands-on projects facilitate close faculty mentorship and opportunities for our students to explore their areas of interest more fully, preparing them for a thriving career.
Program Overview
911ºÚÁÏ's Marketing major prepares graduates for the ever-changing landscape of marketing, providing hands-on experience with traditional marketing techniques such as product promotion, print and television media, and pricing strategies, as well as cutting-edge digital tools.
By utilizing platforms such as Stukent to gain real-world experience through e-textbooks and internship simulations, our students have the freedom to push the limits and test their skills in settings that mimic a real business environment. This new program is used in over 5,700 institutions including Michigan State University, UC Berkley, Northwestern University, and NYU.
The Marketing Research course requires students to craft surveys, conduct interviews, and analyze the findings in their original data. At the conclusion of the course, students present their findings and recommendations to the public. Students can also join Business Club to participate in hands-on business experiences through speakers, events, and excursions related to the diverse field of business.

The minor in business administration is open to non-business majors only. This minor includes eight courses (24 credits) designed to prepare students with general knowledge of the world of business, along with the communication skills and decision-making tools needed to succeed in business.
No minor course may be taken on a pass-fail basis, and students must earn a minimum GPA of 2.75 in the required business courses to meet minor program requirements.

Business Core Curriculum
The defining element of a 911ºÚÁÏ business degree is a series of core courses that all business majors take, which provide a curriculum designed to foster well-rounded business leaders through hands-on learning in a variety of disciplines. Business students will build a foundation in six different areas of study, which prepares our graduates to be adaptable, collaborative leaders who are ready for today’s market. Many Marketing majors double major in Graphic Design or Fashion Merchandising. Adding a minor in another area can only also add marketability for any chosen industry!Ìý
